Please help support the animals at the Cat Ranch. I'm working hard to build a place that's safe and comfortable for them. But the cost is more than I can handle on my own.

It's so hard to ask for help no matter how badly it's needed. I want to thank all those who have provided assistance in the past and those who will in the future. I am already in your debt.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

I'm not used to typing my entries here. I write them offline and then copy them in. But today, I decided to give it a shot.

I know I need to update the stories here. The truth is, it's painful. Last year at this time I had 40-some cats and Sarah. By New Years, I had 18 cats, no Sarah, and a new rescue dog named Jazz.

Jazz was a red healer. He disappeared, so I don't know if he was poisoned or not. I'm thinking he was. He was so delighted to be living here. But I don't want to be definite about it as I have no proof.

Now I have 8 cats, three babies (Yes! They made it.) and Doc. The logical part of me says, "You had way too many to take care of and this is probably better." But I get attached to them. To me, I love each one as if it were the only one -- even (especially?) the ones who are naughty.

I still don't know who has been killing my furkids, but I'm watchful and waiting for clues.
